I installed Vista beta the other day I am now trying to resolve the issue of my computer bluescreen crashing do to a driver conflict. My device manager shows this PCI Simple Communications Controller
Other devices Unknown PCI bus 1, device 0, function 0 Physical Device name \Device\NTPNP_PCI0013 It is located in the pci bridge so is it a part of mother board or what? I cant install drivers and hard to update or find when uyou dont know what it is! Please help!

well I would agree except that i use hi speed broadband through a cable modem which is working fine with this device disabled so I am not sure that that is it. I am also connected through a router that has working driversany other suggestions?

It's likely your modem
Is there a modem in the machine? You wouldn't need it for broadband, but it would show up like this.
